Can I get to them without removing pump. Where are they?Check the replenishing valves on the hydrostatic pump for wear, damage or debris. Items 27 and 30 on the diagram.
It does sound like a relief valve issue. They are behind allen headed plugs screwed into the middle pump section, the part where the hoses connect to.Can I get to them without removing pump. Where are they?

You will probably need to remove the centering plate. Under there, you will see two things that look like plugs with about 6mm or 1/4" allen head holes. These are the relief valves. Un-screw them, they have O rings to seal them against the pump housing.Taz manual says the ones on top are for reverse. Not clear on where!
I sent you an e-mail, but it seemed to bounce. I sent it from another e-mail address, hopefully it will get there. If not, let me know! You will probably need to remove the centering plate. Sorry, i forgot about the picture. I just accessed my home pc and found pictures of a pump and drive motors that i re-built a few years back. It shows the plugs i mentioned that contain the relief valves.Taz pump # M91-35916
