743B V1702 Kubota compression?

My curiosity got the best of me today, and I pulled off the head. Not what I was hoping for!! It looks like it will need to be sleeved. I don't think the .5mm oversize piston will even come close to cleaning up. Plus there are some odd horizontal marks on the cylinder that may be cracks. Now what to do??? Fix it, put it back together or purchase one of these V2203. I had one fellow tell me not to use a reefer motor. But I am sure most of the used ones out there are from that application. I believe he said it had something to do with the governor. I also remember seeing something about the rear engine mount plate doesn't fit the v2203, but the flywheel and starter will. Not sure what that's about.
Most were used for reefer and will have to do some swapping there are a bunch on ebay give them a call or they have sleaved rebuild there but 15 more horses is what I will do if I ever manage to kill mine

If I go the v2203 route. Does it make a difference to go direct injection or indirect? I see the injector lines are routed differently on the DI. Will the v1702 injector lines work on the V2203 ?

All the ones I have seen come compleat have to swap oil pan flywheel and a few other thing off your 1702

I would have to use my intake manifold, and I am not sure if the v2203 DI injector lines will work with my intake. The IDI injector lines look more like mine. That's is why I asked if direct injected engine is OK to use. Or is the indirect V2203 more desirable for my application? I hear the DI engine is easier starting, which would be a plus.

The DI version may be a little easier to start, the manifolds and sump will need swapping, other than that, it should pretty well just drop in.
