Hi I was wondering if a 607 backhoe will mount on a 863 bobcat? My next question is do I have to buy a mounting brackets for my specific model bobcat? The guy who is selling the backhoe has it on a 763 and I am going to put it on a 863. Can I just use his brackets? My final question is if I buy this backhoe and decide I want to get a bigger one like a 709 or 811 (I think are the model numbers) Will I have to buy new brackets for each of these models or will the brackets I have work for more than one model backhoe? In other words are all the bobcat backhoes the same in terms the distance between the pins where they attach to the brackets? P.S. This backhoe mounts to the brackets that are on the outside of the boom. It does not have the ball mount like some backhoes do. Thanks Kevin

The 607 will not fit an 863. The mounts will not fit either. The 607 was built for the 700 series machines.

Humm not sure that is correct. I was at the dealer a couple days ago and asked them if the 811 and the 709 had the same mounting bracket width. dealer told me yes so i can use an 811 on my 753.. now if the 607 and 709 have the same mounting bracket width then it should fit, however if the 607 mounting brackets are different than 709 then i can see it not working

I have the mounting brackets on my 863 bobcat and they are different from the mounting brackets on the guys 763 who has the backhoe. I measured the width when I went to look at it and the width of the brackets on my 863 are about 3/4 of an inch bigger that what is on his 763. I think the backhoe will fit width wise but there is no way to measure if the backhoe will rock back far enough to catch the hooks on the brackets. Could you send me the mounting bracket widths from your 811 and or 709 backhoe? So I can see if the widths are the same with the 607. Thanks
