250 electrical

I have a 250 that ran fine. Began to not start so I jumped the solenoid. After time that quit working. New starter and still wont start. Key to run position and panel lights up and fuel pump comes on. As soon as key turns to start it all shuts down? If I unhook the battery it seems to reset somehow? Did I burn something up?short something? What would act as a kill switch...any safety devices? Its getting a bit frustrating so any thoughts or ideas are welcome! I am new to the forum but have a feeling I can learn a lot here. Tanks Tom

have you checked the relays next to the seat? How about the solenoid under the cab?

Went back and checked and tightened all connections. That must have been the issue, started right up. Thanks! Tom
