I had a problem with random starting so I tried jumping seat belt switch and seat pressure switch. I put toggle switches on instead of jump wires in case at start up there had to be a sequence to start. Well I got it to start still randomly, and if I run the machine it will randomly shut off in the middle of use. Would A bad relay cause that or a fuel solenoid ( where is that ?) Does this machine have something that will shut it down if it is low on hydraulic fluid or plugged hydraulic filter low on oil ? Does this machine have a main brain ( computer ) that could be bad? Thank you for any help I have tried to get a mobile repair company out to fix but they are all 7-10 days out

Hi pmarkm,
What exact make and model of skidsteer are you refering to here?
"280" is not a Bobcat model that I recognise.

Ahh, I think that I just answered my own question - I checked your other post: it's a John Deere.
You may want to post your question over on the Deere page, there are likely guys over there that could be of more help than us Bobcat types.
Cheers - SR

What is your exact trouble, crank no start or no crank? Other then the park brake switch being on, I don't really 200 series being picky about starting. Also I don't recall them having any shut down functions like a 300 series. The dash is the closest thing to computer on those and there isn't much brain there. Give me a little more details. When it won't start, does the dash turn on? Do the head lights work?
