Hello I am new here I have a 1992 bobcat 753 skid steer I got it for a good price I had tons of hydraulic leaks I replaced almost every hose on the machine and I replace the seals on the gerola motors because they were leaking fluid while I had the motors off I replaced the poppers and hoses I had a hydraulic repair shop look at the motors an they checked them an said they are good now my issue is before I replaced the seals it drove fine forwards an backwards now after I replaced them it barely goes into reverse unless I go forward an the fast into reverse. So put the old poppets back in an shuttle valve with no change . I have searched the forums and see other people have had the same issue so I have tried everything they have done with no success the only thing I think I may have done is maybe put the hydraulic lines on the motors back on backwards I am at a loss o ya all the hydraulics are very strong other than the reverse it feels like there is nothing there please help me I don't have much hair left to pull out...

clarify popper please. and if hoses were backwards no damge just reveresed
Sorry I was very frustrated when I wrote the post I ment poppet an shuttle valves on the motor after some further reading on this forum I think I may have narrowed it down the the pressure valve on the hydrostatic pumps or possibly the seal in the in the drive motors just haven't had time to mess with it yet

hehe i like the statement about not much hair left to pull put :)
If the lines were reveresd on the motors, it would simply turn backwards.
There is always a chance the issue is the valves in the drive pump, but i'd doubt it. I wonder if the hydraulic shop messed up the seals in the motors some how.
