I have a 742 with a 1.6 ford engine.Does someone know the firing order and which end is number one?
Most 4 cylinders have the firing order 1-3-4-2. However, some older Ford engines use 1-2-4-3; and from what I have read, the Kent engine (which is in you 742) is one of them. Number 1 cylinder is on the water pump end of the engine, number 4 is at the bell housing end. HTH, SR
Thanks for the info. This helps me a lot. From page 7B-8 of the service manual
