I have high pressure steam shooting out of the back of my 742, I assume a hole in the rad but I am having a difficult time removing it, is there a trick to removing the rad?

I don't recall any tricks needed on my 742b to remove. Seems like getting it back in without dropping bolts was more of a challenge. I think I wrote something in a comment in this forum on that topic, along with a source of bolts with formed in washers.

Do you know where I could find that info? Thanks

I just looked through my old posts and couldn't find it. I was looking quickly so its probably there under an odd heading. Click on my D to the left of my post and it should take you to my posts and you can look more closely. Might find other useful bits and pieces too. I think the gist of it was that you can get washer head bolts from Amazon that make the install much easier--Rexka 10pcs 5/16"-18 X 1" Hex Washer Head Spin Lock Body Bolts[/H1]--Seems like the depth you had to reach to the upper bolts, the narrow space to reach into, and the angle to them from above the radiator made normal bolts want to fall out of the socket. The washer formed into the head seemed to overcome that.

I remember more--you can get dog point bolts on amazon. The dog point lets you get the bolt in the hole, with it lined up with the threads. Really made replacing the radiator with the oil cooler in place much easier.

Should be 4 bolts to remove from below radiator, see pic. Did you get 4 out from below? Really nothing else other than hoses.
