Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

No need to, I can see where the 1/2 flange on the axle butts right up to the wheel. No spacer.

Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

Ya, I understand that flotation tires suck in deep snow, but with chains and keeping it on the hard packed I'll get by. Plus, I am kinda stuck with them. someday I will get a set of skinnys. My plow truck will do most of the work. Regarding my question above, will the 78" bucket work good with...

Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

Thanks guys. I just took a more accurate measurement on the width, 79" overall outside tire width, 77" lug to lug. The 78" bucket would be iffy due to back fill. I have rented them, but like I said this is my first owned skid, and before I spend money I want to make sure it is the right...

Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

That was my main concern, putting too much stress on the machine with a larger buckets. My original plan was to keep the 74" bucket and get a set of Michelin Bibsteel radials 12-16.5. Which wouldn't be a whole lot more than a set of 15.5-16.5 replacements. And just use the 15.5-16.5 for winter...

Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

Thanks guys. Jenkins Iron & Steel a local shop builds nice heavy duty dirt buckets with a reversible cutting-edge in a 78" and a 84". Guessing the 84" is the way to go. I just don't want to over stress something. As for a snow buckets what would be a good size for this skid? 8', 9', or 10'. I...

Tires -vs- Dirt Bucket, Overall width

I just purchased (my first) 2001 Bobcat 863-G single speed. The overall width of the machine with tires (33-15.5 x 16.5) is 78", 4" wider then my new 74" dirt bucket. I believe the bucket should be as wide if not a little wider then the overall width of the tires. I am either looking at getting...

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

New oil pump installed yesterday. At 195 deg operating temp she was putting out 26 psi at idle. Hopefully the oil pump was the root cause for the low oil pressure, and this Deutz will give me a few more hours. Thanks for everyone's help. Bill

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

Yes, they originally had the 5W40 Syn when they first found the low oil pressure, 8psi at idle. They only ran the 30w as a test only to see if it would bring the pressure up, to help trouble shoot the next step. Once the new oil pump in in we will fill it back up with the correct oil. Thanks Bill

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

Ya, I will make sure I check the dip stick. I stopped back in to the shop and the controle valves were clean and in good condition. Although the oil pump was shot. New oil pump on order, and hopefully next week we will find out if this is the fix. Where can I pick up an up graded dip stick...

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

Thanks OldMachinist. Wel just stopped in at the shop and the test with the 30 wt failed. Oil temp 190* and oil pressure dropped to 8 psi. The engine sounded really good. So, I ask him to check and clean the three pressure control valves. If that doesn't work then replace the oil pump and timing...

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

Thanks for the reply Tazza. Ya, not great news. Although they say all the hydraulic system is like new, So, hopefully it's not a total fail. I might have more then I want into it, but when it's all said and done hopefully it will be a new unit. Mostly I will be using it for fixing the driveway...

    Low oil pressure 2001 863 Turbo G

I am in a little bit of a pickle here. Searched and reviewed a lot of related information on low oil pressure related to the Duetz, and I have done some homework. So, before I drop 5k on a rebuilt engine I just need some advice. I just purchased a 2001 863 with 1500 hours on it (very clean, orig...

    Diesel 911 into Hydraulic tank

reaperman, Thanks. She now has new Cat fluid in her system. Ya, this frozen BS is taking its toll on things. I tried to thaw the fuel last night (under a tarp with a jet heater) for an hour, but she is still gelled up. I'm just going to bring it over to Aldrich Tractor and have them pull the...
