Ive just replaced the bosses and bushes on my S130 . 1900 hrs and the bushes were spinning in the bosses wearing the boss . This is a common problem so a Bobcat tech told me . It starts because of a side load on the hardened bush from worn side seal plates . I have machined new thrust plates...
I have an S130 2009 model , mine came with the standard seat . While it was okay i tried a mates S130 that came with a Bobcat suspension seat , wow what a difference it makes over a long day. I went and purchased a new Bobcat suspesion seat and have never looked back. I can work all day without...
My 743 went 20 yrs with the original u joint, I greased it regularly ,probably too much but it was never a problem. However the grease did tend to mix with dirt and clog the oil cooler and radiator quite a lot. That was the major design flaw with that cooling setup. The 743 is still a good buy...
A bobcat tech told me how to undo and tighten those bolts many years ago , support all 4 axles so the wheels are all off the ground. Then with cab tilted and chaincase open place a 28mm high quality ring spanner on the bolt and start the engine and use the torque of the machine to undo the...

Some 743 machines have a bolt in place to stop the lever from being moved, it must move freely from side to side to operate the spool in the valve body. Usually moving the lever to the RHS will open the grapple and pushing it to the LHS will close the grapple.
To activate the front aux hydraulics you move the right steering lever from side to side. The middle foot pedal is a brake ! There are no buttons on the levers of a 743 , are you sure its a 743 ?
Do a search on Eaton /Charlyn 30series bearingless motors and down load the repair PDF , it shows you how to do it, and part numbers . Its not hard just follow the repair guide.
That's why they made the newer S130 lift arms bigger and wider. A friends has a 753H thats been repaired at the top pivot points and down on the center tilt ram as you describe, these machines have lots of power so it flexes quite a bit then metal fatigue sets in. When you weld it back up you...
Yes there is a sleeve inside the "boss", it is a hardened bush that is usually replaced with new tapered pins at the same time. Do you mean the boss, the bush pushes into is damaged as well ? If this is so it can be either line bored and a sleeve inserted into it or the "boss " can be cut out...
Ive been operating my own bobcat for the last 23 yrs, its a job I love and I think im pretty good at it . Prior to this I learnt to fly aircraft and was set for a pilot's career but life and family intervened and I dont regret it at all . I love driving the S130 and doing things for people and...
