    763G Traction Lock Problems

Sorry it took so long for me to get back on here. It did turn out to be the relay, everything is working perfectly on it now. :) Thank you for your diagnostic help in determining what it was and how to test each.

    763G Traction Lock Problems

I will try that with the relay tonight when I get home. I have to pick up another pack of fuses because that used my last one last night. Is the relay just a standard 30A relay? Those I have a bunch of from my air system on my truck.

    763G Traction Lock Problems

I used to get the 15-03 error code (Traction Lock Pull Coil Error Off) and what I found was that it was always blowing the 30A traction fuse. Didn't happen all that often, twice in about 6 months. Now in the past 4 days I've popped it 4 times, twice today, and the code this last time changed...

Bobcat 763 Front Hydraulics Very Loose

I called the dealer. He confirmed it should be a 1.25" pin which it is. He also said there should be a press in bushing in the end of the ram which there is not. He said it's $10 so I'm going to get one. As for the ears on the plate, that he said I'd have to weld in a tube or something to close...

Bobcat 763 Front Hydraulics Very Loose

I took it apart last night. There are no bushings. The pin is 1 1/4" in diameter and the holes in the plate are just over 1 3/8" and in the end of the ram are about 1 7/16". I figured maybe it's the wrong pin and it should be a 1 3/8" pin. That would take out 90% of the slop. Good call on the...

Bobcat 763 Front Hydraulics Very Loose

I have noticed that the front connection on my hydraulic ram, to pivot the front plate, is very loose. The front plate can move about 2" forward and back with the machine off just from slop in the connection. Also the front plate slides side to side about an inch. Is this much slop normal? If...

763 Steering Issue - Found Problem

The arm isn't loose, it's solid, it's the round cam on top of the arm that was loose.

763 Steering Issue - Found Problem

No leakage anywhere that I can see. The aluminum arm seem solid, it's just that one cam that's loose. I'll pull it apart tonight and get it all tightened .. hopefully. Other than that steering issue which has popped up from time to time that I didn't know why the machine has been running great...

763 Steering Issue - Found Problem

I had issues where the left side would want to walk forward. i got diagrams from the service manual to adjust neutral and after popping the cab up and taking a look I saw right away what the problem was. The rear cam that is bolted from underneath the aluminum arm is loose. Problem is that it...

    Tire Selection

Two of my tires are pretty cut up and don't hold air .. I air them up, plow then park it again every time I have to use it. I picked up these tires this morning. They were purchased for another customer who didn't end up going through with the purchase so I got them for $160/tire. My current...

    Tire Selection

I'm heading to buy tires tomorrow. They have retread skid steer tires with a truck tire tread on them or the standard skid steer tire. I was going to get the truck tire tread since it's a personal use machine and I don't want to tear up my property too much. A lot of what I do is plowing and...

Logged into a Windows Machine to post. This is much better. And it doesn't smash all my sentences together.

New Owner of 763 - Stupid Questions

It's a boss plow so there is no upper chain. I welded a bracket in where the up/down cylinder used to be. I do have a crossover relief valve and adjustable flow control valves for each side. I haven't hooked it up yet, still waiting on the crossover to show up. Here's what it looks like before...
