I have not changed a thing on my m500, but all of a sudden the fuel tanks are becoming pressurized. I put new gas caps on, but it did not help. It will actually spew gas out from the gas caps.

I was wondering if anyone would know why the plastic floating seal in my Melroe keeps shattering . I put a new one in [$50] and it only lasted about 2 hours. Maybe i cracked it during installation of everything. I wish I knew exactly how this works so maybe i could come up with an alternative...

Hey Bob, Thinking about doing what you did. I replaced the floating seal that cracked up, with a new factory one that after 2 hours also broke into little pieces. the seal cost over 50 bucks, i can't do that again. You have any idea why the plastic floating seal is breaking up? Thanks, Terry

After some research I have answered my question. There is no way to use an ignition module on a NON battery mageto system like mine.

I've got a melroe m500 Kohler k662, with a wico wh2485c magneto. I'm wondering if i can use an ignition moduel instead of points?
