I don't think that's the issue. My engine is running very good. It's getting too cold the get out there and run the machine, so I will be waiting till spring, for now.

I don't think mine has an anti-dieseling valve.

I had an issue with the gas engine on my 742. After sitting a few months, it only wanted to run on choke. Through the advice of the forum, I rebuilt the Zenith carb and it seems that the issue is taken care of. Now, it seems that when I use the bucket under load, the engine wants to bog down...

Two questions. 1. My starter is spinning, but doesn't always engage. Is this solenoid replaceable or do I need a whole starter? 2. After sitting a few months, the 742 only runs on choke. What do I need to do to fix this?

As it turns out, my female quick connect was corroded. I have a new one coming.....

I want to use an attachment on my 742. Do I jst plug the hoses in? Do I need to release pressure somehow? It's a 1988 742. Ken

My 742 did not have a sending unit when I got it so I installed this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/233799145858 It only lasts about 4 months, then the sending unit melts. I've replaced it once and the same thing happened. Could this be because I may be getting more than 12 volts to the gauge...

I need to replace the pivot pins on the arms of my 742. Anyone done this and want to give some advice? 6707521 pins.

The one on the 742 is not correct. It operates, but I don't think it tilts downward enough. I have to shake the bucket to empty the contents.
