How to connect hydraulics on bobcat 742?

I want to use an attachment on my 742. Do I jst plug the hoses in? Do I need to release pressure somehow? It's a 1988 742.

Just plug 'em in. If you need to relieve pressure just shut the engine down and move your auxiliary control back and forth a few times, that will relieve any residual pressure.

As it turns out, my female quick connect was corroded. I have a new one coming.....
