Will 8 bolt Cat wheels fit my 1845C?

Seen a set of Cracklist and was wondering. Don't know the bolt spacing offhand on either one. Beefy Baby prices have gone out of sight! Tom

    Need D100 Mounting Brackets

I'm looking for those little hook brackets that you bolt to the front of all the older Case 1835, 1838, 1840 and 1845C skiddies. You'd then bolt the backhoe to the loader frame to make it all one unit with giant turnbuckle thingies. Anybody have a set on their case but no longer have the...

    1845C 2000# lift

I've lifted waaay over my 1840's limit by adding a receiver hitch to the back of the machine (welded it to the tie down plate) and then welded a 8" C-channel to a hitch. I strap railroad rails and 2 5'8" solid round stock to the C-channel and voila', I have additional rear weights. I had to add...

Case 1845 leak from hydraulic pump

My 1840 is also leaking from the pivot shaft (on top of pump where the control arm attaches) and dreading having to take them all out to fix. I might just figure out a catch pan and buy a lot of oil. Tom

Case 1840 with the controls reversed!

Tazza, That's what they did. The control rods have a bend in them so that they can criss cross before the valve body. When they reassembled it they just ran them parallel. I think they also have the hoses from the left drive pump reversed also. One problem at a time. Tom

Case 1840 with the controls reversed!

Hey guys, my new to me older style 1840 has the boom lift and bucket curl controls reversed. That is to say the boom is controlled by the right hand lever and the curl by the left. I don't see how this was done. Out of the valve body is all steel piping and doesn't look like it could be switched...

Anyone familiar with the Case SV300 engine?

I am looking at buying a 2013 SV300 with a badly overheated engine and was wondering what engine they used and how easy and expensive the replacement might be. Do they use a chain coupler between engine and hydraulic pumps or a lovejoy coupler or what? Thanks Tom

    Worn out bucket pivot pins?

The bottom pins that the bucket rolls back on always seem to wear the fastest. What is the process called to bore out the sloppy oval holes to a bigger size with corresponding larger pins? Is it called Line boring? I'd like to get quotes from different shop around Phoenix to have this done...

LTB Case 1840 or 1845 in Southwest US

I have a 1997 Case 1840 and my daughter and her husband are looking for one also so they can share my attachment portfolio. I'm in Phoenix but willing to travel a bit for the right machine. Thanks Tom

Low power after 1840 warms up.

Thanks Tazza. Another quick question for you though. I see a lot of newer Case's with what they call joystick control. Is that the same as my old 1840 where forward, rearward motion and bucket control was all done with two hand controls? Or is Joystick control where the right hand controls the...

Low power after 1840 warms up.

Well, it's a moot point now, it sold this morning. The seller said it leaked oil on his driveway and in looking at the 1840 manual and how those tandem pumps are bolted together, I thought that there might be an easy fix. Obviously, so did someone else. I have had my 1840 since 1997 when I...

Low power after 1840 warms up.

I wonder how the dealers determine if it's the pump? There's got to be a test port or something. I am hoping that it's because something is not tightened up all the way between the two main pumps or something. Tom

Low power after 1840 warms up.

I'm looking at an 1840 of about 1993 vintage and the owner says that after it warms up to operating temperarture, that it lacks power, even to push into a pile of dirt. Is there a way I can attach a high pressure guage to some port on this tractor's pump assembly to watch the pressure as it is...
