    bobcat 873

Check to see if the electrical harness is plugged in under neath of the seat area. The wiring should be easily seen running out of the travel handle. It might have become damaged or un-plugged somehow.

Backhoe mounting brackets for sale / trade

Ok. I’ve still not gotten my part numbers. What attachment are you putting on your 753? A # 709?

    Hydraulic control valve rebuild

Those little detent balls are a frigging nightmare to put back in place. Truth be told, you don't have to remove all that stuff to reseal the valve spools. I would safe be extremely patient & work under a bright light.

Bobcat 773F series power issues/fuel issues

If it were my machine, I would install an electrical diesel fuel pump & bypass the mechanical fuel pump. I would do this to see if the condition goes away. If the condition goes away, I would look harder at your mechanical lift pump & how it is driven off the injection pump. This might be the...

    Bobcat 974

I'm assuming that you have a 973 machine. I've rarely heard of anything available from Bobcat as a kit. Your very best option would be a call to your local dealership. They might surprise you with what they can offer you for that aging machine.

    500 Bobcat Driven Sheave

I am NO expert at all of these models, but you might want to clean all of the grease& dirt off that sheave. You might just find a SECOND set screw. In the industrial application, plenty of shafts will have TWO set screws for added surety.

bobcat 331 travel valve leaking & has play

Hey bro, I removed the deck plates in hopes of it being a worn out linkage; it would be cheaper & easier. However, it is definitely loose in the valve itself. I was hoping to find out that it is adjustable like the pilot controls are of larger types of excavators typically are. I suppose I need...

773G axillary Hyd grapple leak down

Maybe the aux control switch is staying slightly engaged or still allowing power to continue through to the aux hyd solenoids. maybe try unplugging both solenoids & Then operating the machine. If the power is restored, then you will know it is an auxiliary hydraulic issue. Hope that helps you...

    7753 overheating

Thermostats are incredibly finicky. I have found that if they aren't kept wet with coolant that they can go a little crazy when they get wet again. I would run the engine for a good little while after replace the thermostat & keep the system topped off. As the other guys have said, if the fan...

    773G bobcat

Could it be sticking auxiliary valve? If this is an old grapple, maybe the hydraulic cylinders ae bypassing internally. A simple test would be to open the grapples, then disconnect the hydraulic lines from the machine. If the grapples stay open, then the issue is in the machine. If they close...

    Hydraulic Oil in chaincase

I would suggest replacing the chain drive lube. Any time you find milky (water contaminated) fluid, it is always best to remove as much of it as possible. It does sounds as if one or both drive motors are leaking past the shaft seals. I would suggest replacing both seals or motors, if it has...

What Fuses are used In 853

It should be the typical two blade kind that is used in the automotive industry. What do you have going on?

Friendly reminder to change our final drive fluid

Hey Tazza, its been a good while. I would expect you to have a fully serviced machine, of all people. Nevertheless, if it is leaking fluid outward, just imagine what could be leaking inward when that final drive isn't doing anything. It if is gear oil leaking, tackle it now while it still has...
