Are you refering to the large wire from the charging lug on the alternator to the startor, or a separate signal wire? The charging wire is there, if there is a signal wire that is separate that is the info i am looking for to verify. My starter was changed.

My S-130 is having charging issues. I pulled the alternator, had it bench tested, they say it is good. I initally thought maybe a blown fuse, I checked that, all is good there too. Is there a circuit diagram anyone can provide that shows the exciter wire routing? I checked for continuity...

Engine speed out of range is what the book on the machine says too. I inspected the sensor and found it had been pinched by the battery, which was not properly secured. I replaced the sensor, no change. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Its a 2003 341. I was wondering if that was the spot. It is the only area on mine big enough to hold a battery, but I don't see any clamps or trays it would have set in. Looks like a real pita to get to too.

Mine does the same thing and it drives me batty. I was just gonna hit it with the mig. I wasn't gonna pull it off though. Pop a tack on it right where it sits, just disconnect the battery cables before you do it.
