Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Well, I have it back together. Rebuilt the motor on the bad side. Weather crappy here, so didn't do much but drive it around the driveway to check it out. It worked good enough to mount the tree spade I picked up last fall and bring it inside. New hoses and some maintenance. At least it's all...

Anyone use the "extra" hydraulic valve spool?

I have a 843B with the front remotes. The hydraulic valve is a 4 spool and one spool is not connected and plugged. I was thinking about adding some hoses and just run them to the rear and hook up a lever to the front. Not sure what I would use the second remote for except for rear stabilizers. I...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Yeah, the hub to axle is tight. The splines look great, and the sprocket slips on tight. Waiting on a couple parts that should be in tomorrow, and it's going back together. Pressed in all the axle bearing races today, and put the new seals, wear rings and bearings on the 4 shafts ready to go.

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Well, I pulled the right rear axle and it looks good. I pulled the right gear box, opened it up and removed the large gear. All looks good. Bearings tight. I did not pull the small gear, but I could see inside there enough to see it is good. Put it back together and the gear mesh seems good. The...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Well, I don't know if this is good news or bad news, but I pulled the left axle out today to do the seal and bearings, and there was a good amount of dirt in the outer bearing. The seal wasn't leaking, but obviously bad. So I guess this means I am pulling the pumps to do the rear seals and...

    843 electrical issue

So for some reason, I think the power to the hour meter is always hot, and the switch grounds out when there is pressure. As the previous post said, remove the wire to the sensor, if that stops it, that the sensor is probably bad. The same sensor controls the light as well. The other option, is...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Pulled the motor, and tore it down. Everything looks good, but now I need a seal kit. The shaft look good, nothing slipping. Once the motor was off, the rear wheel turned smooth, but the front sprocket was still off. Since the motor was off, there was no load on it, so not sure if that really...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

That is interesting. I pulled the front sprocket and didn't notice any issues with it. I will inspect better, but I assume that would be pretty obvious.

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Both sprockets look great. I can't see tell full 360 of the rear sprocket but the front looks good. Good teeth. It is a double sprocket that drives the front and rear. It is solid so I don't see anybway one chain could be slipping. I am leaning towards the motor or motor drive shaft. If I recall...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

Put the axle back in and chain is tight. I jacked up the rear, and when I rotate the tires, I hear and feel a rough gear meshing. I opened up the cover on the gear box and the big gear looks good. I pulled off the cap for the shaft, and the bolt feels tight and bearing looks good from what I can...

    Drive chain replacement

My Bobcat 843 has 100HS chain on it. It is stronger than the 100H. They do not make removable master links for it due to strength rating I suppose. Which really sucks by the way. Trying to hammer them over in the chain case was a real treat. I made a tool that bobcat says to use, but didn't...

Bobcat 843 Right Front Wheel Slipping

My 843 has the front right wheel slipping. I noticed it when I was backing up a hill last summer, it would start to slip and chatter some. The rear wheel was still engaged. The same wheel was also leaking at the axle seal, so I pulled it out last night expecting the splines on the axle shaft to...

853 izuzu engine rebuild update. now no fuel gauge

Which Isuzu engine is it? I have a 843 with the Isuzu 4JB1. It is the same as the Isuzu trooper minus the turbo. I had to rebuild mine, and a crankshaft was welded, reground and hardened by local shop. I don't know who put your sleeves in, but if they were the same as mine, they are really thin...
