we all know Bobcat thinks a lot of their equipment since the pandemic and their prices keep going up. I’m looking for one that works as good or better than a Bobcat one. Any comments from someone who has used one on the MT would be appreciated as well. 👍

Does anyone know if that is something I could fix on my own or would need to take into bobcat ?

My local bobcat dealer has incompetence and is overpriced on repairs and parts. Has anyone taken their machine to a heavy equipment repair shop and had any luck or problems?

Update Bobcat said track tension bolt replacement would be 3500$ ! I went and picked up my machine

My local Bobcat dealer wanted 3500$ to replace that bolt, since they said the entire track assembly including drive gears have to be removed. I have a welder coming out next week to try and weld a nut onto the rounded bolt so a socket can once again be used.

Has anyone tried one of those universal fuel gauges on Amazon for 15$ and had success?

I don’t have a welder or 3 weeks to wait on a local welder doing that. And not knowing if it would work since the bolt is is hard to get to and is surrounded by metal

The bolt size is 1 1/2” very large and can’t find a bolt extractor that size what can I do grind bolt down for smaller size socket? Bobcat wants about 450$ for bolt replacement!
