    bobtach QA

Thanks for reply and tips. It hasn't been that long ago that I cleaned it all up and oiled and greased moving parts but me and son-in-law have been using it probably more that I thought.

I have an S185 and when changing attachments the levers that go up and down don't move enough sometimes. One lever moves followed by the other which I think is the normal operation but sometimes one or both don't move enough to attach or disconnect from bucket or forks etc. If I raise the rpms...

    Engine oil?

As it turns out I bought 5 gallons of Mobil Delvac which had a large rebate and I got the last pail of it.

    Engine oil?

Thanks for the info bobcatdan. I was leaning towards Rotella oil and I have a bobcat filter in the box plus a fuel filter.

    Engine oil?

I have a S185 with Kubota engine and was wondering about which oil to use that is both economical but with good protection qualities? This machine is not used daily or for profit but it still gets a workout when used.

    grease zerk

Thanks Bobcatdan. I had a torch about ten ft away and never thought of that. I have one in the rear through that hole behind the battery on the inside that won't take grease either. It's the stationary end of ram. Seems like it's going to be a bear to fix cause it looks like the pin goes thru...

    grease zerk

I've had a S185 since last winter and I couldn't get the one tilt on bucket to take grease and the other day I took the zerk out and cleaned a bunch of hard dirt/grease out of it and put it back in an still could not get any grease thru to the bushing. Upon further investigation there was no...

    Bobcat 773 Overcharge code

I had a car that was fine until you reved it past 4000rpms(small 4 cyl) then the voltage regulator in the alt would cut out and you would be on the battery. Maybe unhook the alt and see if it functions temporarily on battery only.

    new tires

Update I got the recapped tires yesterday and I rejected one of the recapped tires because of sidewall area I didn't like. It was repaired on the sidewall near the tread with a loose piece of rubber that you could grab with your fingers. The guy assured me it was fine but got another one...

    block up for removal?

I have a S185 and I need to block it off the ground so I can remove all 4 wheels and switch them for new recapped tires and was wondering if it ok to block it underneath at the spot where the axles are?

    new tires

My understanding is they take my rims as a trade and I get different Bobcat rims with new recapped foamed-filled tires. The rims are also inspected at the time of the deal and are either good or rejected. I will inspect the new tires and rims as well.

    new tires

I think I'm going to give the recaps a try as I haven't heard anything bad about them plus I'm not that hard on the running gear, but I've only put 5 hrs on it since Jan.

    new tires

Newer operator of a used S185 with foam filled slick tires and it spins very easily. I stopped at the Bobcat dealer and was asking questions about tires and after answering a few questions about usage etc, he suggested swapping my tires and wheels for recapped tires. If my tires are recapable...

    Slick filled

My S185 has almost slick filled tires and a friend of mine wants me to fill in a spot in his back yard where an above ground pool once resided. It looks like they cut about 3' on the top side and spread it around on the low side. The pool has been gone a long time and is all grassy. I was...
