Source for new glow plugs for 751C with Peugeot engine

Steve, I no longer have the 751 and don't know what the part number is for the relay. Bobcat parts catalog on-line might give you that. I recall there were about four relays the same size down at the lower right as you look at the engine from the rear. Maybe swap some around? Have you put a...

    863 coolant drain and fill

Assuming it has the Deutz diesel, the engine is oil cooled. No antifreeze, just the engine oil being circulated thru the radiator. :-) ---Bobbie-G

Bobcat 743 oil drain hose cap

Pretty sure that is called a JIC fitting. I would guess it to be about a #10 or #12. Those caps are readily available I believe. If you wish, I can check on my 863 and 763 and see what size. I'm guessing it may be the same on yours. :-) ---Bobbie G

    Brush Cutter Opinions

I've used an Ammbusher, a Bradco, and currently am using a Kubota mower, all 5 ft wide. The Kubota with a direct hydraulic drive is by far the most powerful machine, I believe delivering more power to the blades (three of them) than the other two with gear drives. I've used all with an 863...

    98' 863 Pump belt?

Todd, just saw this. I think we have two threads going! From my notes, that's right, backing off the bolt will loosen the tensioner. Maybe in your case that's not enough? Maybe prying up on the tensioner a bit would be necessary? All complicated by pretty much zero access, of course!

    Bobcat 873 Fuel Tank Pickup

I have an 863G, 1999. Here are my notes on how I replaced the broken off pickup tube on my machine. :-) ---Bobbie-G Fuel pickup line in tank. A toughie, but what did you expect? Wash off top of tank. Block back of machine, pull right rear wheel and inspection cover, run arms up, lift cab...

    98' 863 Pump belt?

The belt that runs the hydraulic pump is I believe called the drive belt. I have a 1999 863G. Here are my notes for replacing the drive belt: Drive belt replacement: Note - must remove fan belt first! Pull battery. Loosen tensioner holder bar (2 x 9/16 bolts), and remove bolt (5” long?) from...

Fuel pump? Problem 1996- 751 Pugeot engine

I am certain the tank on a 751C with Pug engine cannot be removed without pulling the engine first (somebody jump in if I'm wrong, it can happen). As I mentioned, I know replacing the pickup tube is difficult (I talked to the mechanic who did it on mine) but not impossible. Can't remember for...

Fuel pump? Problem 1996- 751 Pugeot engine

Tazza and I have both had 751C rigs with the Pug engine. I had this problem when I first bought my machine, to load it up to get it to the dealer, one person was driving and the other was walking behind pinching the primer bulb all the way. It needed a new injector pump (and you are right, the...

Cab Shocks are shot and I'm SOL

Had a 751 for years. The gas-charged struts are the lifting support mechanism. There is nothing except rust and gravity that will hold the cab down, after the two securing bolts are removed. EXCEPT: as you are seated in the machine, just outside your right thigh is a valve handle in the cab...

    Rebuild/clean 863 injector pumps ???

Never flushed a tank, but there is a drain. Under the skid plates beneath the engine is a 2" x 10" steel plate, held in place with three bolts. Crawl under the machine and you'll find it. Remove bolts and plate, and you'll see nothing but dirt and gunk. Gently clean that out with a stick or...

    751 engine

The timing on the injection pump is pretty touchy. I think rotating my pump by a few degrees made a lot of difference in how it ran. So make sure it went back in as it came out. Next, at least on my 751C Peugeot pump, the lift pump was integral with the injection pump. Might be only the lift...

    863 F LED light bar ?

Todd, congrats on getting the 863 in good working condx! LED light bars don't usually draw much current, so I think you'd be just fine tying it into the existing front lights. FYI, I tried to upgrade my front lights to LEDs. Never did find an LED that was any brighter than the existing bulbs...

    863 Bobcat Aux Hyd problems

Has the 863 worked before with the backhoe? I believe when I have my backhoe connected, I need to pull and release the trigger to lock on the hyd flow. The next trigger pull/release disengages the flow. But the thumb toggle is momentary. To the right is "normal" flow, to the left is "reverse"...
