I've 'heard' that the ford 1600 was also used in the english ford cortina. That should be the 'kent' 1600. Lots of racing parts available. So should be able to rebuild. I was missing lots of parts from the Wisconsin engine so the repower kit was actually cheaper.

What ever you chose you will need to consider weight differences. I just completed a repower on m720 with a Kohler CH1000 37HP. Install went great and it runs real nice. 400 pound difference. I've got one heck of a counterbalance to make. What kit were you looking at?

Going thru everything on the 720 and put a new seat in. The old belts were, well, old. Looking at some of the 3 point retractable at Summit Racing. They seem pretty universal, just wondering if any one has used some of the replacement type seat belts.

The adjustable was available locally so I picked that up. Probably set to around 30 psi. More is better heh? Added a gauge as well as I was making a new panel. Hope I'm close to being done.

Anybody know what the oil light threshold pressure is? I can locally get a 30 psi or 15-50 psi pressure switch but not having the original kind of working in the dark. The service manual mentions not going below 35 psi while bleeding the system so that is kind of a start. Getting closer on my...

The correct answer is CCW. Normally not a big deal but Bobcat i guess changed how things were done during the production runs on this model. Spinning the crank and watching the camshaft i could determine engine rot by the way the cam moved against the block. So on with ordering the new engine.

Maybe a better question would be: If I opened the back engine cover door, which way would I see the engine spinning?

As I don't have the starter or flywheel off the original configuration, is there a way to determine the pump shaft rotation direction? The specs I have found on the VH4D says it spins CCW. Bobcat drove the pump from the front the flywheel side (front) to achieve clockwise direction? At least...

In the process of getting a 720 that was disassembled and forgotten. Has spare engine that is similar but not 'bobcat'. Original flywheel and coupler to drive is missing. Seems it attached to flywheel with a flange arrangement. Are replacements available? Even if i change motor I'll still need a...
