Suggetsions on removing the old step tread on the lift arm

Yes, I slide off all the time, that's why I wanted to put some fresh new sandpaper step on it to see if that helps out. Anyway, using a heat gun worked great. The old worn out step came right off. I'll put some new paint on later this week, wait a few days for the paint to air out and then stick...

    tilt cylinder project

Help::: So I read the manual on how to take the tilt cylinder on and off. Looks pretty simple, until I read the nut holding it all together is torqued to 600ft lbs. How do you do that? I think my torque wrench only shows up to about 185ft lbs. And I don't think I can get anywhere close to 600...

    tilt cylinder project

I noticed today that the bucket tilt cylinder on my 853 will leak down after a few hours. Can I assume the issue is in the cylinder itself or do I need to trouble shoot the whole system first? I'd like to say, yes it's the cylinder, go and get a rebuild kit and go at it some weekend. However, I...

    New Machine

Emil, Wow great news. it must be nice to have that kind of cash. After you have it for a while , it would be great to hear how it compares to your old machine, did it provide you any efficencies was it more or less expensive to maintain. I'm not sure what the value/benefit is of being able to...

    8811 Backhoe Attachment

I have a 709 backhoe attachement ( the next size down from the 8811) I use it on an Bobcat 853. It works great for me. I have the vertical stabilizers and they can sometimes drag in the mud. but generally it works great and I can drive all over the farm with the backhoe attachment locked in...

    Drain Holes???

Hey, I took the hydrostatic motor cover off the side of my 853 ( cover plate between the front and rear tire and I see that I have a lot of water in the bottom of this skidsteer. I'm guessing there's a drain hole that is probably clogged up. Where might I look? I don't see anything that looks...

    Reversed bucket on a excavator???

thanks for the info. The equipment I saw looked like the case equipment above. It seems like a lot a trouble to unhook, turn the "heavy bucket around" and then hook the bucket back up for a few scoops. I dread changing the bucket on my little 709 backhoe attachement. There is always one issue or...

    Reversed bucket on a excavator???

The other day I saw a very large trackhoe/excavator with the bucket attached "backwards" open end of the bucket facing away from operator. I was curious about why an operator would do this. This was a really huge bucket ( the kind a man could stand in) The equipment was working in a really tight...
