Hmm, I'm not sure I'd want to be the operator -- even if I'm paid a lot or know that the ROPS really does work. Looks scary to me!

Rolled my Cat 257B while digging a trench for the dirt. Backed too close to the edge and it gave way. Machine rolled in onto its left side and almost upside down. Dirt was soft sand and it was a slow roll. I was able to climb out the front but still got bruised shoulder. Very scary. I,m a lot more careful now. Don't want to do that again. Wife wasn't too happy with me either.

Glad you got away with only a bruise, it could have been worse.

My neighbor laid his Bobcat on its side several years ago, working above a brush fire. It was, yes, WAS, a gas machine, and fuel ran out of the tank. Responding well to gravity, the fuel ran down to the fire just a few minutes after he got out. Needless to say, the fuel burned right back to the tank and it was weeny roast time for the Bobcat.

My cousin called me one night looking for help when he tipped the loader he borrowed from his neighbor over. He backed over a frozen dirt clod with the boom up and over it went. He about messed his pants when the cab started tipping up because the guy didn't have it bolted down. 15 minutes with a payloader and it was good as new
