Hi everyone . My 773 skid steer quit moving after the second or third warning telling me that my battery was low . After my first warning I figured I could just turn the lights off and keep going but then I got another warning so after I a few minutes I decided to head for the shop . Did not quite make it . The battery gauge is down to two bars . Any suggestions you guys ?

Have you tested the battery and charging system? Tight belt?
So far , the only thing I did , is charge up the battery . Then I worked the skid steer for about 3 hours without the lights nor the heater on and I was able to keep 4 bars on the gauge . Now that my work is done I have more time to do some testing and checking . In the mean time , any more suggestions are more than welcome . Thanks

Get a DVM and measure the voltage across the battery with engine off and with engine running. Should be 12.6V off and 14.1V running. If you do not have a DVM, buy one, its parts of a tool set.

I bought a digital voltage meter and did all the testings which led me to a defective alternator . I replaced it and everything is back to normal . Thanks for your input donald73d .
