Hey Tazza I was cleaning up some lots, and slid down a steep hill that i didn't see it until i hit the bottom. The hole was cover over with a down tree. I had to work the controls hard to get back up and out of the hole now i have some play in the right control so did i mess up the right side pump to cause the play in the control. Any i deal what has gone on. curt

Hi Curt, try checking the bushes in the linkages close to the steering arms just inside under the seat. I have a bit of play in my 763 (as well as the 753) and I have just purchased some replacements. You can easily tell if there is too much play and you might want to look at the joined/bolted connections about in the middle on the linkages as one of them may have pulled/slipped.

if it is not a bushing problem , check the bolt that holds the pintle arm to the shaft , it may have loosened up or pulled the threads out the aluminum arm when you was ragging it

You won't damage the pump, it would be a linkage somewhere. Like Ron and Fishfiles have pointed out, check the linkages and all connections to the pump. Even check the alloy arms that bolt to the pump are tight. They should not be able to move up or down. They have a square hole in them that the shaft slides into, the bolt comes loose and they wollow the alloy out.
