LS160 LS170 Lift or Fuel Pump

My 160 has been acting a bit strange, not wanting to keep running after startup. Missing and stalling like air was leaking into the fuel system. Strange part was that after a minute or two it cleared up and ran good the rest of the day. Seem like it had to sit a few days for the trouble to start.
However it progressively got worse. I checked the filters and found the secondary full of water so I changed the inline and the final filter thinking I had it licked, but no.
Today it finally quit, and for the first time I noticed the electric fuel pump had quit. 1234 hrs.
I had a hand primer bulb, I put it in place of the inline filter and the machine started up and run fine so long as I keep pumping it.
A new one is $155 so I'm going to try a Ebay special for $45 and see how it lasts 12V 4-6 PSI 30GPH Diesel Electric Fuel Transfer Pump
Hopefully it works and lasts at least as good as the oem.

I had the same thing happen on an LS170 with 1800 hrs. Machine would be fine untill it sat a few days, then the pump wouldnt work untill you messed with it. I think that ebay pump is the exact same as the NH. When I had my problems I needed a pump NOW so I bought NH. I compared the old on to ones online and they looked identical...

Please update us on how this works! I just looooooove being able to get past OEM stuff. I like New Holland machines but they are just like everyone else, parts are too high! I am currently trying to find another muffler for my ls170, New Holland is outrageous with their price. I'll let yall know what I find.

I can't see an after market pump being a problem. As long as you get a few PSI of pressure it should be good. But the big question is, how long will it last? But for the price, its worth a go. Not that OEM is always better than the cheaper ones you can get off ebay.

Well I figured if it worked I'd buy another and throw it on the shelf. For $45 you never know when a electric fuel pump will save your day, especially with all the engines around here.

Well the ebay pump was a direct fit and works perfect. Likely the same manufacturer as the oem pump. I had to solder and tape the ring terminal for the ground wire and the power connecter wire to the wires on the pump. Otherwise bolts right up.
It came from www.fuelpumpsusa.com and had the # E2324M on the outside.
They do appear to be a company that prefer to sell only in the US.
My brouser won't even let me visit their website. It begins to load then re directs me to a page saying "Does not sell outside the US. "
Anyone know how my brouser knows my location and how I can change it?

Sadly there is no way around it. It will look at your IP address and it knows if you are in the USA or outside.
I think there would be ways of using USA proxy servers, but its a lot more effort than its worth.
The easiest way is when you go over the border next, jump into an internet caffe and have a look see?
