HI, I just bought an 853 that had an engine fire. Thankfully it was not running and was caught quickly, but the wiring needs to be all redone and it needs a new radiator. I have found where i can buy the radiator, but was looking for some suggestions on where i could get new wiring harness for this. Its a good thing its winter coming, this is going to be a log winter project. Any advise is really appreciated.

Check bobcat first the complete harness for my 642 was 200.00 and you cant make it for that.

Thanks, I did find all the manuals online yesterday and was able to buy them in pdf form for under 30.00. So i figure i can get it put together without any major issues as long as i can get the parts. I will contact a bobcat dealer tomorrow.

...... Sorry, but the harness for your machine will cost you a tad more than the $200 for an older machine. Depending on what harnesses you require will determine the price. There are about 4 harnesses for the newer machines. On a burnt machine i had, I was going to re-wire them from a schematic but gave up on that idea and paid the few hundred dollars for 3 harnesses, it was worth it for the time saving alone. The Forth one i did wire up on my own, it was only 20 odd wires for the Aux hydraulics/park brake, so not too complicated. The other ones, i didn't even try.
Good luck with it, which ever way you decide to go. If you have patience and can use a soldering iron, you could repair/replace the bad harness section. Just take your time and use the wiring diagram in the book. I made copies and hit the connection numbers and pin outs with a hi lighter to keep track, it may help you if you go that way too.

My 843 came with a rat's nest and needed a wiring harness. However it was cheaper and easier for me to just repair it. It is amazing that so many machines are neglected to the point where they catch fire, but I looked at an 853 for sale recently that had never been cleaned out and was full of oil and dead grass inside. None of my machines ever suffer that kind of neglect.
