763 high idle speed start

I just purchased a 03 763H ( or at least I think its an H) 1700hrs, it has an issue, if the throttle is too low, both sticks lurch forward and the engine stalls, if I increase the idle speed its fine. Just curious if anyone has seen this, I was thinking of maybe adjusting the linkages might need adjusting? ... Thanks
 
I assume this is when the machine is parked with the brake on?
Does it creep?
 
Yes parking brake on and it creeps just a little on the left track, I can wiggle the left stick and it stabilizes
You need to adjust your steering on the pump. The problem is when the brake is on as the machine creeps due to incorrect adjustment you have oil flowing to a motor. As it can't move it builds up pressure and puts more load on the pump and stalls the engine. When it does this, its not un-common for it to throw the sticks forward and make an awful grinding sound as the engine stalls from the load.
You need to block the loader so the wheels can turn freely. Lift the cab and on the top of the pump loosen the 4 bolts and hold the steel stops against the round pucks on the alloy arm. You need to get it so the wheels do not spin, one side at a time. I think you need to work right to left. Ensure the bolts are tight on the alloy blocks that connect to the swash plates, if they are loose they can give you creeping too.
Pretty sure thats where your problem is, you need to set your neutral.

Thanks Tazza,,, I really appreciate the info.. I was assuming the linkage from the sticks running back to the pump was where the adj was. But your saying it would be at the pump itself ?

One more question and I'll quit buggin you,, my 763 has the 3 aux quick connects on the front and the variable/Hi flow options on the dash board is that indicating I have a H series? I can't find anythign that indicates what series it is, It has the triangle headlights. I also have a low and high speed switch on my right stick although I can't tell any differnence in speed, is it just a dummy switch ? I guess that was more than one question... The adjustment is at the pump, not the 2 bolts on the bars to the sticks. That just changes the position of the steering levers. Its an adjustment ON the pump, not the pumnp its self :) Its easy to do.
I don't know how to tell the series, but your dealer should be able to look it up from your serial number. Triangular lights means G or higher. The 2 speed switch is there just as an option, as is bucket positioning and Hi Flow. They are there but aren't always fitted from the factory. Not all machines can even have 2 speed, but its still there, i guess it helps save costs of building separate handles for each machine.
