Found! Generic Bobcat Orange Paint

After buying a can of genuine Bobcat Orange Spray paint for about $10 a can I went on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I found it at Lowe's. It is Valspar Interior/Exterior Gloss Premium Enamel. #65077 Autumn Crush. Don't confuse it with a similar Valspar orange (unknown color name or number) that sits right next to it. The price was $3.44 a can. I touched up a few spots on my 763's wheels (painted with Bobcat Factory Orange) and I can't tell where the BC Orange ends and the Valspar starts. A perfect match and it has great coverage.

I take a colour sample to my local paint guy and he colour matches it for me, i think its about $50 for a 4L tin of equipment enamel. Its pretty tough, well untill you go rubbing up against trees with the rear door.....

NAPA carries 'chevy engine orange' in a spray can that's almost an exact match. I used it to paint my wheels.

Yup, Autumn Crush paint from Valspar is excellent as a Bobcat match. I sprayed my engine compartment door and it looks great. Will do the wheels next. I'm very satisfied with this paint, I got it from Lowe's and the price is right. Anybody have a substitution for Bobcat charcoal paint?

Chevro orange is a piss poor match for melroe orange! sorry!

No longer carry at lowes. Any other ideas

I didn't worry about matching, just wanted a good looking orange. Rustoleum Gloss Protective Enamel, Part# 214084. At my local hardware store. I gave my counter weight a good sanding and then a good coat of (Rustoleum) primer then two coats of orange.

Valspar Interior/Exterior Gloss Premium Enamel #65077 Autumn Crush is now called Hacienda Tile pn#351822, color# 2010-4.

I know this is an old thread but I just discovered a near perfect match for the orange paint. For those of you who live in Canada, Canadian tire Armour coat Orange rust paint. I bought a can for touch ups and you cant even see the difference.

Looks to me like Rust-Oleum 280135 Allis Chalmers Orange is a very close match... I sprayed some real Bobcat Orange on a test strip side by side with some Rust-Oleum 280135 Allis Chalmers Orange, and I can't really see any difference in color.... About $6 per 12oz can at Menards.
