I am repairing a burnt Cat 287b skidsteer and need help wiring the two electrical plugs for work tool. I assume it is same pattern for all skidsteers. I have Cat wiring diagram, but it looks to me that other than the ground wire, all of the pins are hot when energized? Can this be true? I thought that a least a few were relay controlled by joystick or dash switch? Does anyone have a more clear diagram to follow? Thanks!

I don't know if they have a standard, i know bobcat make theirs to suit them selves....

Ok, that explains why the moderator moved this from the general forum to the Cat section. I had rented bobcat equipment for my previous cat and seemed to work fine so I thought the wiring was standardized across brands.

Its totally possible its now a standard, but there was a time that if you wanted to use a bobcat on another piece of equipment you needed a converter box, naturally it wasn't cheap.
