Has anyone ever bolted a winch on a bobcat? I have been working in an area that has very loose soil and sometimes cannot even push myself out with the bucket. I end up getting the tractor to pull myself out. Was wondering if anyone had ever mounted an electric winch on a skid steer to help pull themself out. One could be mounted on the side behind the rear wheel.

I do not own a bobcat now but you might want to check if it is a option from the dealer, there is a optionial reciever hitch available for my wacker neuson sw-20 that just bolts on.

I've never done it myself, but I've seen it on several machines before.
Best one was a receiver mounted winch on the guys truck.
Then he welded a receiver tube to the skid steer on the rear and ran some wires.
Was then able to swap the winch back and forth between the 2 as needed.

They also make front mounted hydraulic winches for recovery of other vehicles.

yeah that is what I was thinking a winch reciever mounted , something that could be taken off so it does not get torn off.
