Will a LX565 freewheel?

I'm buying a LX565 that is missing the engine so I will have to winch it up onto a truck to get it home. I have no experience with these skid steers so can anyone advise if these machines will roll freely with no engine power? I have read that on some machines you need to remove a valve to allow them to freewheel but not sure if that is the case with this model? Thanks

There is no valve. When I winch one I lock the parking brake, if it works, and just drag the machine without the wheels turning. If that is not an option, try to limit the distance you roll it.

My main concern is that if there is too much resistance to it rolling, although I will be able to winch it onto the truck ok, getting it to "roll" off might be difficult. I have no way of pulling it down the ramps at the destination.

In that case, you will need to disable the park brake and open the lines to the hydraulic motors. Only let it roll slowly and keep dirt away from the open motor ports.

I hope you priced an engine before you bought the machine. Those engines arent cheap...
