I have yet to hear of a jurisdiction that has equipment titles

In Nova Scotia tractors, backhoes, skid steers etc can all have titles. If you don't have a title you cannot get a plate to drive on or across public highways and are subject to a big fine if caught. Insurance companies will not give liability insurance for public roads without a title. Or should I say they will take your money and then not pay.
