My S160 has rear tires measuring floor to top of tire 30 3/4" The front measure 31 1/4", so 1/2" difference. Is this enough difference to cause concern? Thanks Bill B

It is enough to be an issue if used on sticky surfaces like concrete or asphalt. In dirt for home use, it should be fine, it will put more load on the chains, but as tyres wear, they will always be a bit different.

Are they the same brand tire front and back? I have learned over the years that a 10x16.5 isn't the same height from one brand to another. I wouldn't worry much about it. The configuration of taller on the front and shorter on the rear isn't going to make much difference. I have bought machines with different size tires side to side and that causes digging problems.
