The mini excavators for Case, John Deere, New Holland are they generally called a mini excavator or are they simply called excavators. If someone can please help it would be greatly appreciated.

I guess it could be called either. I'd suspect the deciding factor would be the size of the machine to call it mini or not. But i'm not sure what the rated capacity would be that sets these points.

Generally, The manufactures have a mini and midi. The breaking point for the terminology will vary brand to brand. After that they are just referred to as excavators.
