So, the OP posted the question in 2007, guessing he should've come back and told us what he ended up buying.
But, since the resurrection has generated new traffic, I have been very happy with my TL12v2. No paint issues, but mine is a 2022, so maybe they made some changes. Engines are mostly Kubota now. Very strong machine and has the hydraulic power to handle a mulcher.
