I have a 763 and was wondering why Bobcat did not put tachometers on these machines. There is a speed sensor so why no tach. Would it be possible to tap into the sensor somehow to hook up a tach . Also do the tachs that strap onto the alternator work good? TIA

You can probably piggyback the signal from your mag pickup. Yes, alternator driven tachs work great but, you need an alternator with a tach output, and you need a tach that works with an alternator signal.
I think you are the first person I know of that wants a tach for a constant speed governed engine. Like, what's the point? Generator engines don't have tachs.
