bobcat technician tells me its fuel its contaminated on fuel rail, showed me with magnet that it had small metal, machine cranks but won't start, says repairs is around $10,000, new fuel pump, new injectors, and clean system does that price sound about right

I'd be concerned as to where the metal came from, the fuel should be filtered. I assume they think the issue is the pump failing.
The repair bill seems high to me, but i do see where they are coming from, change the lot and you know its right. Injectors can be cleaned, pumps can be rebuilt. If it was me, i'd talk to a diesel injection shop, they may be able to do the whole lot for less, remove clean/repair and replace. Bobcat will be quoting for new genuine parts.
O hope they have confirmed that the fuel shut off is working, as that's the easy fix.

Yep 10K is what it will cost unfortunately. The Doosan engine will not have a shutoff solenoid. Only place metal can come from would be the pump itself. You could check with a diesel shop but don't think your going to have much luck. What year and how many hours on the machine? I'm guessing engine is out of warranty?
