The dealer said the Bobcat Bucket Positioning feature only levels going up. Although I trust him on this, my question is how to modify the valve to level going down. Do I have to add another valve to make this work? I use my T300 to move pallets off the shelving in my shop. The leveling going up is great, but I'd like to lower pallets without dumping the contents on the shelf in front of me.

One of my "projects" is to acquire an old forklift mass (we don't have a big forklift graveyard around here to easily find parts) and weld a Bobtach plate to the back and put quick disconnects on the hydraulic lines. Would work great and give me perfect vertical lift and drop.

I always wondered about that too, i'd like to think it could be done. If you get it worked out, do give details as i bet others will be interested too.

The bucket leveling feature on my 1999 863G only works in the "going up" direction. Yer on yer own coming down. I'd sure like it to work both ways. But if it involves messing with or recalibrating the computer inputs, I'm outta luck. Too hard for me to get it to the dealer. :) ---Bobbie G.

The computer only turns the valve on and off, the valve does the positioning, so no programming needed :)

this is an interesting post. ive been called out on this for exact situation. the dumping of pallets. as I can surmise the BPV is designed to keep you from dumping shit in youre lap. yes it works well for this. but the forklift industry has what call a self leveling feature. as to how to incorapte this into bobcat hyds ive thought about this considered a second bpv on the base end. thought about modifying ride control. considered how they do on the versa handler (slave cyl tied into lift circuit) only im a not an engirenee.
