Stiff Bucket Pedal

I have a 753C with 2100 hours on it and recently have noticed the bucket dump/rollback pedal getting more and more stiff while the loader arm lift pedal is fine. Its not to the point where it is horribly difficult, just enough to make dumping in particular a little jerky and awkward. I have gone through the simple visable linkage and cleaned it hoping it was just some debris in the foot pedal connection or something simple like that but didn't have any luck. Anyone have any ideas about a likely cause before I start disassembling that I probably shouldn't?

Well of course make sure your pedal area isnt full of mud. Then I would start suspecting the detent balls on the tilt spool. The tilt linkage is a nice straight shot back to the control valve so there isnt much that would restrict the linkage.
