If the only attachment you use is the bucket, then you could attach a step to the back of the bucket in front of the tires. You would need to make sure that the step does not interfere with the tire or the tilt in any way. You could also attach a step to the side of the bucket as long as the work you do would not cause it to get in the way I.e. bucket too wide with the step.
Also, depending on what you use the bucket for, you could actually attach a step inside the bucket on the back wall. If all you use the bucket for is dirt gravel etc. the step really wouldn’t interfere with anything. However if you move concrete or boulders and the like the step would be destroyed.
You could also try to weld a step to the side of the lift arm in front of the tire, again making sure it does not interfere with anything. This would be the only real option if you use multiple different attachments.

But the guy I bought my skid steer from, added this?? to a bucket, ,he used it for moving 55 gallon drums easier, and also as a step, as he had a stroke and was having a hard time getting in and out of machine
it is simply 1/2 rebar, bent like this and welded onto the back of the bucket, which I would think you could also buld to go on the back of a grapple too
its been very nice to have as I too am getting older
and its been extremely durable
I have moved at 75+ tri axle loads of gravel, millings and broken concrete and pavement slabs, , fill dirt, and lots of other stuff, (plowed several winters of snow with it) and have hooked countless chains to it and pulled out stumps, and likes
its held up rock solid, doesn't bend easy or hang up on anything really, SOME Small rocks of chunks of some things MIGHT get stuck behind it and need me to remove, but its seldom a big deal or takes more than a few seconds
and to be honest, I would add this again to any bucket I ever buy again, its been super useful, not to mention making getting in and out of machine a lot safer!
its has like built in traction being ruff edged rebar, so, when wet or even muddy, its still gets me traction when I step on it
and if you can weld, and bend some rebar, its pretty simple to make and add!, and 1/2 inch rebar ain't that costly either, HAHA!
I am sure one could use thicker rebar if they wanted, and had means to bend it and it would be even more durable and still not limit use of bucket much!

I did buy a set of folding steps off Amazon. I will mount one on the back side of the bucket, just out side of the the tire. I am making a triangle bracket to account for the slope of the bucket. The other step will go on my grapple.

It might be of some additional help to weld a piece of diamond plate on the top edge of the bucket that presents a flat area to step onto, instead of having to balance on the rounded angle of the bucket. Certainly a slippery spot with dirt or water on it.
please post some pictures of things when your done, might help others seeing hop you did it
