starts then shuts off

Have a S175 with the deluxe control pad. I enter my code push start button and it starts then immediately stops. Shuts fuel off at the soleniod. has code 9-21. In need of help!!

If you can give me a serial number I can run the code through BATS tomorrow and see what pops up for a description and probable causes...

Okay the SN# 517625443. The code says it fuel out of range (HI). But i wouldn't think that code would keep it from staying running.

I wouldn't think so either...since you have the deluxe panel, can you go into operator utilities and retrieve any other stored codes? Maybe more in the history...I'll check for you in the morning.

Code 09-21 : Fuel level out of range high....Possible causes: Wire 3100 open or short to battery, fuel level sensor, Bobcat Controller, Moisture/corrosion/pushed back pins in Mainframe harness....Self-resetting....Step 1. Jumper wire 3100 to ground wire 3110. Does code change to 09-22 "Fuel level out of Range Low"?...yes:Replace fuel level sensor...no:Got to step 2. Step 2.Check wire 3100 for continuity and a short to battery. Check wire 3110 for continuity to ground. Does wire 3100 and 3110 test ok?...yes:No problem found. Perform wiggle test....no:Repair or replace wire harness.

Wow! Great info. I will perform those tests. Do you know if this will keep the engine from running? Otherwise start then shut off!
