I recently pickup and serviced a '02 773T with 1120 hours. Mostly used on cattle farm and had a fair bit of round bale twine wrapped around the rear axles, which I removed. Among other things, I topped off the chain case oil to the point where it was not yet overflowing the front plug, but was close (4"). A while later (maybe 10 hours), I noticed oil on the left rear rim, both inside and outside. Don't remember seeing that before. Figuring I had a seal to replace soon, I just used it to finish a project which scoured the oil off the rim. Since then I have not seen any sign of a leak. Any thoughts? Could the oil level just have been a little to high and it seeped out? Seems like a long shot. Should I still worry about the seal? Thanks, Steve
