I'd love to make one of them too, the wood over here is a bit harder than that though, so it's hard to know what size cylinder is needed.

That splitter is built here and sold for 26,000 when they came out a couple years ago. I cant imagine running that thing in hot weather unless you have ac and a good cab. You'd be buried in sawdust.
