Who has rebuilt a hydraulic cylinder on their Deere? How do you compress the snap ring to get the rod back into the barrel?

Can you get pictures of it?
There are a few different styles that i have done, if its a standard snap ring, i just use snap ring pliers. Others if there are no holes for the pliers, i sit one end in the groove and pull the other side over with pliers and slowly push it into place. A helper is good here as they can hold pressure on it while you tap it into place.
