Need help with making a decision on these 2 machines. We will be using this machine for back grading, snow removal, fork lift work in our non-paved yard. May look at back hoe attachment in the futhure.

For what you list the only decision making factor would be the fork lift work. If you will likely lift pallets weighing 5000 lbs regularly you will want the extra lifting capacity of the S300. All the other tasks you list could be handled by a machine half that size. Price and options would be more of a decision make for myself. I like the slightly smaller machines because they are lighter and leave less of a footprint when the job is done. Both machines are strong and have a good track record.

My local dealer told me to buy the S250, add the weight kit and turn up the pump then its a 300. I have had my 250 for 6 months and its a monster! Well don't laugh my first/last skid loader was a 610. The 2 loaders I looked at were S300 and S250 saved 2500 and got the 250. Rick

Rick, I've been doing a little research since I got my S250, and the A91 option package, which I have and assume it's the same as the gold, comes with the weight kit.

My 250 don't have a weight kit, but I lifted some pallets that where weighed and they ran from 2750 to 3120 picked them up and didn't get tippy! I also had a 500 gal barrel that I cut the end out of and filled 3/4 the way up with small junk iron and it weighted 4200 that was just starting to get tippy. Could still lift it and move easy just had to watch my stops.. LOL..
