S250 serial number

I am in the process of buying a Bobcat S250 in which the SN tag is missing but the owner provided me the serial number. Is there another place on the machine so that I can compare and verify that it is the correct serial number ?

There could be one stamped into the chain case. Try looking to the left side on the chain case fill plug. (right side of plug but left when looking at it from the front. lol)

You also can have your dealer hook up to it with a laptop and get it.
