S185 misfire/knocking

hi guys, new to this forum and just thought i would see if any of you guys had some advice. i have a 2011 S185 skidsteer with 1800 hours. It has a Kubota replacement engine in it with 350 ish hours. my problem is it has a bad misfire on cylinder 1 with a fairly loud knock. the misfire almost completely vanishes at max rpms. i have been running injector cleaner through it to see if that helps. any advice or tips would be great. It could be a bad injector, have you had them cleaned at all?
If you loosen the nut on the injector delivery nozzle on #1 when running, does the knock go away? if so, that would lead me to believe it's an injector issue, if not, it could be a rod?
Try not to run it too long if it is an injector, i have seen a bad inector erode a piston, there was a crater etched into the top of a 3 cylinder motor
