rusty pan under seat

Hey y'all, I am a new owner of a '96 753. I don't know much of it's history. The metal pan which the seat sits on is rusty. The seat was swapped out at some point - it has a New Holland seat - and the underside of it is rusty. I *think* this is all due to the machine not being kept under a shelter then the pad under the seat absorbing and holding water. I will soon remove the pan and pad, clean the metal and treat with naval jelly, and paint with rustoleum. What is the best, non-water absorbing, replacement material for the pad? I searched forums and found a recommendation for d.i.y. material from Fehr Cab Interiors. https://www.fehrcab.com/rollstock/ Harbor Freight has a couple of options for shop floor anti-fatigue mat. Has anyone tried these?
